Dr. Hippensteel has years of training dedicated not only to hospital anesthesia, but also specifically to anesthesia in the dental setting - from oral surgery, to periodontics, pediatrics, and endodontics offices.
Payment and Insurance Policies
The fee for anesthesia includes all pre-anesthesia evaluations, consultations with physicians, medications, supplies, anesthetic care, and recovery.
To secure your appointment, a deposit of $500 is required. The cost of the anesthesia is then based on the length of time our anesthesiologist is tending to your care. The deposit goes toward this cost. With the exception of illness, this deposit is non-refundable unless notified 14 days in advance of cancellation. Full payment is due on the day of your procedure.
We do not accept insurance. Although we do not submit insurance claims on your behalf, we will provide you with the necessary documentation for you to file a claim upon request. We recommend that you inform your insurance carrier of your treatment plan prior to the appointment. Many insurance policies do not pay for anesthesia services for dentistry or have limitations on individual policies.

Once your appointment has been requested by your dentist, our office will contact you to explain the cost of treatment and answer any questions you may have.
If cancellation is necessary, we require that communication is made with our office at least 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the appointment to avoid a cancellation fee of $500. A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 14 days before the appointment time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment or fails to follow the fasting guidelines that are provided by the treating anesthesiologist. In either case, patients will be charged a $500 missed appointment fee.
